Wedding branding may sound slightly ridiculous unt Wedding branding may sound slightly ridiculous until you realise it’s actually everywhere already.

Menus.
Welcome signs.
Napkins.
Bars.
Guest stationery.
Custom details tucked into the reception styling.

When couples create a logo or monogram that reflects them, it gives the whole day a stronger sense of identity without needing to over-style the space.

Our job is helping make sure those ideas feel cohesive, elevated, and actually connected to the couple… not just added for the sake of it.

PSA: The head table at your reception isn’t mandat PSA: The head table at your reception isn’t mandatory.

A lot of couples assume they need one because… well, weddings.

But sitting within your guest tables can completely shift the atmosphere of the night. At a shared long table, conversations feel easier, the room feels more connected, and the reception often becomes more relaxed naturally.

There’s no right answer… just the setup that suits you and your people best!

To cake… or not to cake? 🎂 Wedding cakes have bee To cake… or not to cake? 🎂

Wedding cakes have been part of celebrations for centuries. Traditionally, they symbolised prosperity, good luck, and the couple’s first task completed together (which feels slightly dramatic for cutting dessert, but here we are).

But these days? Couples are rethinking the whole thing.

Some still love the tradition of a classic cake cut. Others realise halfway through planning that not everyone actually eats cake… and suddenly spending thousands on three tiers starts raising some valid questions.

That’s why we’re seeing more couples choose alternatives that feel a bit more them:
• Millefoglie cakes
• Dessert tables
• Late-night snacks
• Champagne towers
• Individual desserts
• Or, in this case… a wedding cheesecake 🧀

A cheese “cake” like this works beautifully for couples who love hosting, grazing-style dining, or simply want something unexpected. It becomes part of the guest experience rather than a formal tradition people politely clap for before heading back to the bar.

There’s no right answer here.

Some couples love the symbolism and photo moment of a traditional cake. Others would rather put that budget towards food, drinks, entertainment, or a smaller dessert option that actually gets eaten.

The best choice is usually the one that feels natural for your day… not just something included because weddings are “supposed” to have it.

If you’re considering an autumn wedding in Queenst If you’re considering an autumn wedding in Queenstown… here’s what you should know:

It’s one of the most beautiful times of year, but it’s not just about the photos.

The upside:
• Rich colours and natural backdrops
• Soft light for photos
• Cooler more comfortable conditions for guests
• A calmer, slower feel around Queenstown

The reality:
• Timelines need to start earlier in the day
• Flexibility is key with weather - always have a backup plan!
• The best suppliers and dates get snapped up quickly
• Some locations change quickly week to week

It’s a great option… you just need to work with the season, not assume it’ll behave like summer.
