I just LOVE weddings…and I mean everything wedding related, from the gorgeous personal details to the amazing moments and memories I get to witness being created on a couple’s special day. Helping pull together one of the most memorable events in the lives of our clients, and getting their marriage off to the happiest of beginnings is my true passion!
You may notice I don’t sound like a Kiwi (still working on that!), but that’s because I am originally from the States. I first found my passion for wedding planning in Lake Tahoe, California and spent several years planning weddings against an unbelievable backdrop of snowcapped mountains and sparkling blue waters (sounds familiar right?). Well, It was an easy decision to make the move down to New Zealand after visiting and falling in love with Queenstown (around 12 years ago now) and the rest is Simply Perfect history!

We actually like to describe Carys as our ‘wedding superstar’…mainly because that’s what she is! Carys will keep your plans on schedule and make sure that everything runs smoothly from the time the first guest arrives until the last guest leaves. She has worked in events for several years and knows what it takes to make a wedding day not only memorable but stress-free and unforgettable. You will find Carys working away hours before the wedding begins, and by the time the first guest arrives…well everything looks Simply Perfect!
Sophie Farrar
planning & co-ordination
Sophie is our elopement wedding coordination superstar who will be by your side every step of the way. She loves creating your very own special wedding day and ensuring every little detail is unique to you. Sophie’s favourite part of planning a wedding is learning your love story and seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces once you tie the knot – don’t be surprised if she tears up during the vows!
When Sophie isn’t busy coordinating our beautiful elopement wedding packages, she is teaching incredible yoga classes here in Queensotwn…so we can assure you she will be the ultimate calming presence keeping everything under control on your wedding day!
Alasdair Gay

Behind every good wedding planner there is a handy man who can put all the creative ideas into action. That is just one of the many talents that Al brings to our team. Formerly a mechanical engineer, after marrying Sarah, he slowly had his arm twisted into becoming our irreplaceable ‘wedding engineer’ (don’t tell him we said it). He is the man behind all the elaborate setups from hanging thousands of crystals on a marquee ceiling to installing hundreds of metres of fairy lights to create the most romantic spaces…he really can transform a venue like no other. He is the managing director of our partner company Queenstown Wedding Hire.
Tui
official welcoming committee
If you ever get the chance to come visit our office here in Queenstown, you will be very lovingly greeted by our gorgeous Tui. She joined our family only a couple months before our first child, as our first official fur baby. She definitely has a hard time feeling left out, so often considers herself the official welcoming committee for all our visitors…her favourite trick is playing chicken with all the cars on the way down the drive…but don’t worry, she always gives way in the end!
